Answer:

Adult ticket = $8

Student ticket = $13

Explanation:

Hi, to answer this we have to write a system of equations (sales equations)

6x + 12y =204 (first day)

5x +3y =79 (second day)

Where x is the price of each adult ticket and y is the price of each student ticket.

If we multiply the second equation by 4 , and subtract the first equation to the second equation:

20x +12y =316

-

6x + 12y =204

___________

14x = 112

Solving for x:

x =112/14

x = 8

Substituting x=8 on any equation:

5x +3y =79

5(8)+3y =79

40+3y =79

3y =79-40

3y = 39

y =39/3

y = 13
