I know this because the formula for pythageon theorm is. (A)squared + (B)squared = (C)squared so if you substitude the value of number three into the therom it would be equal to this 6x6+8x8=10x10

then if you simplify it would equal 36 + 64 = 100 and so this would satisfy the therom.
