median=9+1/2

=5 (5th)

mean=x/n

=(1+1+2+2+3+3+4+5+7)/9

Answers:

Median=3

Mean=3.12

Step by step explanation:

1. Arranging the data in ascending order:

=1,1,2,2,3,3,4,5,7

N(total number of items)=9

Now,

Median= (N+1/2) th item

=(9+1/2)th item

=(10/2) th item

=5 th item.

Median= 3

------------------------------------------------------------

2. Given data: 3,2,4,2,1,5,1,3,7

Summation FX= 28

N(total number of items)=9

Now,

Mean= summation FX/N

= 28/9

=3.12

Mean =3.12

Hope it helps....

Good luck on your assignment
