What is a quadratic equation ?

Definition:
An integral equation that contains only one unknown number (univariate) and the highest degree of the unknown number term is 2 (quadratic) is called univariate quadratic equation(or quadratic equation of one unknown). If it contains two then it’s quadratic equation of two unknown and so on.
