RULE: (midpoint)

Consider P(x1,y1)and Q(x2,y2) two points:

the midpoint M(x,y) of the segment PQ is defined like this:


x = (x1+x2)/(2) \\\\y=(y1+y2)/(2)

In our case

x1 = 6 ; y1 = -3

x2 = -2 ; y2 = -7

then


x = (6+(-2))/(2) =2\\\\y = ((-3)+(-7))/(2) =-5
