You are a manager at a business that is going under due to a lack of sales. There is one month before the official closing. You have gathered your employees into the staff meeting room to tell them the news, but you want to let them all down easy.

Write at least a 5 sentence speech to your employees. Keep in mind your purpose and your audience. Additionally, you MUST incorporate on of Aristotle's proofs (pathos, ethos, or logos). BE CREATIVE!

I welcome you all to this meeting. As you all already know, we are experiencing low sales and as a result of this, we cannot maintain running costs and other expenditures that are necessary for the smooth functioning of this business.

As manager who have had over 12 years of experience, i am blessed to have such great employees as you who have performed their individual tasks to the best of their abilities -even though sometimes our best is not good enough- and for this i am proud.

One month from now, this business will be no more and it is painful because this was like my brain child and i assume it is the same for a number of you and i know that this would be tough on everybody, emotionally and financially but if we cannot keep overhead costs, there is no way to pay the workers, is there?

This isn't me saying this is the end of the road, rather it is the end of this phase for all of us. Thank you all for your service.
