Hello

Here is the answer:

A midsegment of a triangle is a segment connecting the midpoints of two sides of a triangle. It is always parallel to the third side, and the length of the midsegment is half the length of the third side.

Answer:

17 units

Explanation:

The midsegment of a triangle theorem states that:

The midsegment is 1/2 of it's parallel side.

So,

6x + 5 = 1/2(4x + 26)

6x + 5 = 2x + 13

6x - 2x + 5 = 13

4x + 5 = 13

4x = 13 - 5

4x = 8

x = 8 ÷ 4

x = 2

Substitute x to the midsegment.

6x + 5

6(2) + 5

12 + 5

17
