Explain whether a red apple is opaque or transparent and
why it appears red.

Sample Response: An apple is an opaque object because no light can pass through. The red apple reflects red light and absorbs all the other colors

A red apple is opaque because you can’t see anything on the other side of the apple. The apple is red because the frequency of light shinning on it makes it seem that it is red, as it is reflected. It seems it is red because it reflects infrared waves.
