I keep putting in 24 minutes but it says I’m wrong? Someone help please!

Answer:

40% of 60 minutes is x

is/of = %/100

x/60 = 40/100

100 * x = 60 * 40

100x = 2400

x = 2400/100

x = 24

So, 40% of one hour is 24 minutes.

40% of 1 hour is x

is/of = %/100

x/1 = 40/100

100*x = 40*1

100x = 40

x = 40/100

x = 0.4 hour... maybe they want you to write the answer in hours? So 0.4 hour instead of 24 minutes? Not sure.
