How can you determine the x value whether it is in the domain of h-example-1

Well, because this is a khan academy question i guess ill be safe to answer it.

0 is in the domain

4 is in the domain

5 is NOT in the domain.

Explanation:

If you plug in 5, you are left with


(4)/(5 - 5) =
(4)/(0) = undefined

However, if you plug in any other value in that list, you are left with a number.

Remember, it isn't in the domain if the number is imaginary (like square root of a negative number) or the answer results in an undefined :)
