Explanation:

The volume (V) of a pyramid is calculated as

V =
(1)/(3) Ah ( A is the area of base and h the height )

Here A = 3 × 2 = 6 cm² and V = 12 , thus


(1)/(3) × 6 × h = 12, that is

2h = 12 ( divide both sides by 2 )

h = 6 cm
