Answer:

(1)/(12)

Explanation:

This is an independent event probability problem , that is the first event does not affect the occurrence of the second event.

The sample space of the first die is S1= {1,2,3,4,5,6}

The sample space of the second die is S2= {1,2,3,4,5,6}

1. the probability that the first number cube shows a Four pr (4)=
(1)/(6)

2. the probability that the second number cube shows an odd number=

odd numbers in the sample space are 1,3,5= 3

pr(odd)
= (3)/(6) = (1)/(2)

For the two event to happen the probability is =
(1)/(6)*(1)/(2)=(1)/(12)
