Sally has 4 red socks, 6 white socks, and 2 pink socks in her drawer. She

randomly pulls a red sock out of the drawer. Then she randomly pulls out
another sock from a drawer.
a) What is the probability that Sally pulls out a red sock?

b) What is the probability that Sally pulls out a sock that is not red?

c) Are the events described in a) and b) complementary? Explain.

A) 1/3

B) 2/3

C) Yes because 1/3+2/3=1 but if it was 1/3 and 1/3 it would not be complementary
