Explanation:

Given:
$y=3.58x+202.6\,,\,y=2.3x+160.7$

To find: value of x and y

Solution:

$y=3.58x+202.6\,\,(i)\\y=2.3x+160.7\,\,(ii)$

From equation (i) and (ii),

$3.58x+202.6=2.3x+160.7\\3.58x-2.3x=160.7-202.6\\1.28x=-41.9\\x=(-41.9)/(1.28)=-32.73$

Put
x=-32.73 in (i)

$y=3.58(-32.73)+202.6\\=-117.17+202.6\\=85.43$
