Answer:

The y intercept is 1 or in coordinate form (0,1)

Explanation:

We can use the slope intercept form of the equation

y = mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y intercept

y = 1/4 x +b

We have a point we can substitute in for x and y

3 = 1/4(8) +b

3 = 2+b

Subtract 2 from each side

3-2 = 2+b-2

1= b

The y intercept (or b) is 1
