Let x be the number of shirts ironed.

400/20x = 20.

20-2=18.

That means she ironed 360 shirts prior.

If both of them were at the same speed of 18 by (let x represent). Then Samantha ironed 630 shirts while Eli ironed 360 shirts, but ironed 2 more hours which got him to get 400 shirts.
