In Germany and Austria unemployment rates rose to 20%. In Britain, The UK’s economy was further hit by the sharp global economic downturn. In France, there was a drop of tourists, a fall in exports of perfume, wine, food etc. And there was a decline in prices for what exports it could sell abroad.
