I’m rusty with my math, so I’m not 100% sure this is correct. My best attempt.

(1,-5) & (3,-17)

1=1x, -5=1y, 3=2x, -17=2y

Formula is y2-y1/x2-x1

-17 - -5 = -12

3 - 1 =2

So -12/2 = -6

Formula for the line is

y-y1 = m (x-x1)

In this equation m=-6

Y - -5 = -6 ( x - 1 )
