These three questions are all combined with number 1

1) Khafre was a son of Khufu. He also had a pyramid built, but it was not as big as his father’s. The volume of the Pyramid of Khafre is about 2,115,072 cubic meters, and its height is about 136 meters. Approximate the length of each side of the base.

2) Search the Internet to find the length of each side of the base of Khafre’s pyramid. Does this match your calculation?

3) About how much longer are the side lengths of the base of Khufu’s pyramid than Khafre’s?

Please write your answer step by step like this

V=1/3 HS²
Solving for S².
Multiply both sides by 3.
3V= 3 x 1/3 HS²
3V=HS²
Divide both sides by H.
3V/H=HS²/H
3V/H=S²
Switch sides
S²=3V/H

Answer: S² = 3V / H

Answer:

Explanation:

Volume of the pyramid,V = 1/ 3 * base area * height

base area =3 * V / H;

=3* 2115072. /136

=6345216/136

= 46656m2

By comparing the base area with what we have on the question we can see that;

The base area= S2 =S*S

Hence the base area is the square root of the Area

Square root of 46656

S =216m

You can check Google to find the rest,

S for khufre =215.25

According to google

It's almost the same , varies by 216-215.25=0.75m

You can search for kufu's pyramid on google to find the base then subtract 215.25 from it
