For cytochrome c only 25 of 104 amino acids are given. For hemoglobin, 30 of 146 are given. Could this impact your findings about the evolutionary relationships among the organisms? Explain.

Answer:

Evidences based on evolutionary relationship depends on the similarities in protein structure, DNA, fossils.etc. However, if Cytochrome c 25 Aa out of 104 were given, and 30 out of 146 of HB given, then if sequence of Amino acids translate to the polypeptide proteins, definitely it will be difficult to obtain complete sequence of protein which form each of Cytochrome and HB with the few Aa given. Hence, if protein sequence can not be obtained, the similarities for the evolutionary characteristics can not be discerned.Because it is the similarities of complete proteins structures that will be used to trace the evolutionary relationship between the two proteins.
