Answer:

yes, event A and B independent

Explanation:

given data

P(A) = 0.25

P(B) = 0.60

P(A and B) = 0.15

solution

we know here P(A and B) = 0.15

so we know here for independent

P(A and B) is = P(A) × P(B) .......................1

so we take here R.H.S here in equation 1 and put here value

P(A) × P(B)

P(A) × P(B) = 0.25 × 0.60

P(A) × P(B) = 0.15

so it is equal to L.H.S = R.H.S

so, we can say that A and B are independent
