A rectangle has width twice its height. If the perimeter is 12cm what are the dimensions of the rectangle?

Answer: height = length = 2 cm

Width = 4 cm

Explanation:

P = 2 (l + b)

12 = 2 (x + 2x)

12 = 2x + 4x

12 = 6x

X = 12/2 = 2 cm
