Answer: The density of a gallon of water will therefore = 3.79 kg/m^3

Explanation:

1 liquid gallon = 0.00379 cubic metre

5 gallons = 5 × 0.00379 cubic metre

5 gallons = 0.01895 m^3

Since the liquid is water and density of water is approximately 1000 kg per cubic meters

The density of 5 gallons of water will be 1000 × 0.01895 = 18.95 kg/m^3

The density of a gallon of water will therefore equal to 1000 × 0.00379 = 3.79 kg/m^3
