Answer:

Martin drew a right angle triangle

Explanation:

A triangle is a polygon with three sides and three angles. If it has one right angle and two acute angles it is called a right angled triangle.

According to Pythagoras, a right angle has a hypotenuse and two legs. If c is the hypotenuse and a,b are the legs, the sides of the hypotenuse can be found using:

c² = a² + b²

Since the sides are 3 cm, 4 cm and 5 cm. The hypotenuse is the side opposite to the right angle and it has the largest magnitude. 5 cm is the hypotenuse side while 3 cm and 4 cm are the legs. Therefore from Pythagoras theorem:

5² = 3² + 4²
