Answer:

y - 5 = 3(x - 5)

Explanation:

The equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

y = 3x + 17 ← is in slope- intercept form

with slope m = 3

Parallel lines have equal slopes.

The equation of a line in point- slope form is

y - b = m(x - a)

where m is the slope and (a, b) a point on the line

Here m = 3 and (a, b) = (5, 5), thus

y - 5 = 3(x - 5) ← in point- slope form
