Answer:

y=3/2x+10

Explanation:

1. Turn 2x + 3y = -5 into slope intercept form

2. Put 2x to the right making the equation 3y = -2x - 5

3. Divide 3 by 2 and -5 making the equation y = -2/3x - 5/3

4. Find the slope perpendicular to -2/3x

5. To find something that is perpendicular it has to be the negative reciprocal making the new slope 3/2

6. Find y - intercept by using (-6, 1)

7. The slope intercept form is y = mx + b

8. Plug in 3/2 in m, -6 in x, and 1 in y

9. The equation should be 1 = 3/2 x -6 + b

10. When you solve it you should get b = 10
