Let A is the middle point of the line segment => A ( 6, 12).

Let K (a, b)

We have the following formula:


Midpoint((x_(1)+x_(2))/(2), (y_(1)+y_(2))/(2))\\ where:


J(x_(1),y_(1) )\\K(x_(2),y_(2))

Substitute all the given information, we have:


  • (10+a)/(2) = 6

<=> a = 2


  • (8+b)/(2) =12

<=> b = 16

=> the coordinates of point K (6, 16)
