A landscaper is installing a fence around a rectangular yard. The entire perimeter of the yard is 170ft. One side of the rectangle is 35ft long so the landscaper knows how to buy enough fencing for two lengths of 35 ft. How much fencing should the landscaper buy for the other two sides?

Answer:

I think it is 100. I did the calculations, and that is what I got.

Explanation:

If you do 170 minus 35, and then 35 again you get 100. 100 divided by 2 is 50. So the length for the two other sides is 100 ft.
