Minerals are basically classified based on the need by the body. Based on this we have those needed or are essential need by the body-Macro minerals and those which are not essential to the body or needed in smaller quantity-micro nutrients.Major minerals are all needed in equal amount/quantity.

Niacin is toxic as it damages the liver when taken in excess of 2g/day. Vitamin B6 is another B-vitamins which is toxic when taken in excess but not listed. So Niacin,

Green leafy vegetables should be controlled. This is because Vitamin K which is rich in leafy vegetables is abundant aids blood clotting. Thus is not advisable to increase intake of these variety of foods, because it will disrupt the anticoagulant medication.

He should take 5g. The recommended daily intake should be less than 1 teaspoon or 6g.So far 6 g was not listed and 5g is less than 6, then his intake should be 5g.

Salts should be fortified with iodine. This is less expensive, cheap to buy by all households and efficient because, it will be used everyday to add tastes to food.,
