PLZ HURRY! ONLY 30 MINS LEFT!! ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ Vikram is studying the square pyramid below. A square pyramid. The square base has side lengths of 34.2 inches. The triangular sides have a height of 28.4 inches and length of 33.2 inches. To find the surface area of the pyramid, in square inches, Vikram wrote (33.2) (34.2) + 4 (one-half (34.2) (28.4)). What error did Vikram make?

Answer:

The error he did is in the area of the base. As the base is square the area would be 34.2 × 34.2 and not 33.2 × 34.2 as written by him. Rest is correct

Answer:

The error Vikam made: He actually used the wrong expression to represent the area of the base of the given pyramid.

Explanation:

The surface area of the pyramid that is given = 4 * (0.5 * 34.2 * 28.4) + 34.2 * 34.2

Now, the Total area of it is = (2 * 0.5 * 36.5 * 25.6) + (2 * 0.5 * 37.8 * 16.2) + (25.6 * 16.2)

= (36.5 * 25.6) + (37.8 * 16.2) + (25.6 * 16.2)
