→ 2.2 = z - 1.1

⇒ Add 1.1 to both sides to isolate z

→ 3.3 = z

⇄ We can substitute 3.3 back into the equation to see if we have the right solution, if we get 2.2 on both sides then our solution is correct

→ 2.2 = z - 1.1

⇒ Substitute 3.3 into the equation

→ 2.2 = 3.3 - 1.1

⇒ Simplify

→ 2.2 = 2.2

Our solution of z = 3.3 is correct
