Answer:

Explanation:

Given the following :

From the diagram:

Base of triangle = 20cm - ( 4 + 3)cm

Base of triangle = 20 - 7 = 13cm

Height = 9cm

Area of triangle = (0.5) × base × height

Area of triangle = 0.5 × 13 × 9 = 58.5cm^2

Area of rectangle = Length × width

Area of rectangle = 20 × 9 = 180

Shaded area = area of rectangle - area of triangle

Shaded area = 180cm^2 - 58.5cm^2

Shaded area = 121.5cm^2

Find the Area of the Shaded Region. Triangle A = bh/2. Rectangle A = bh * 11 ft 6 ft-example-1
