1. multiply first 2 terms (2x and x)
2. multiply outer 2 terms (2x and 6)
3. multiply inner 2 terms (-1 and x)
4. multiply last 2 terms (-1 and 6)

= 2x^2 +12x - x - 6
=2x^2 + 11x - 6
