Answer:

Probability of being older than 30: P(A) = 0.6

Probability of owning a car: P(B) = 0.65

=> P(A) x P(B) = 0.6 x 0.65 = 0.39

Otherwise, probability of being older than 30 and owning a car: P(A⋂B) = 0.39

=> P(A) x P(B) = P(A⋂B)

=> A and B are independent

Hope this helps!
