Europe is apart of Eurasia; it is the western part of that landmass and it stretches so it is considered a peninsula. Because it is a continent, it contains peninsulas inside of it such as the Balkan Peninsula, Iberian Peninsula, Italian Peninsula, and the Scandinavian Peninsula.

Europe is known as peninsula of peninsulas because it the largest peninsula as it is wholly surrounded by water on all three sides. It is ssurrounded by water -in North by Arctic ocean,in West by Atlantic ocean and in South by Southern ocean.
