You will need a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. There are several different majors that you can choose to focus on. There are different degree plans such as graphic design, marketing, photography, studio art, social media, filmmaking, etc. If you plan on teaching art at some point then I strongly recommend getting your Masters of Find Arts as well. Some higher level jobs especially at museums will also require an MFA. There are several great colleges all over the United States that off these degree programs. Good Luck to you!!!

Answer:

digital and print publishing, advertising, video game development and motion pictures. Teaching, at all educational levels, is another career option for artists.

Required Education: Training and education in specialized fields

Other requirements: NASAD accreditation, bachelor's, master's, teaching certificate

Projected Job Growth (2016-2026): Fine artists 7%, multimedia artists 8%, craft artists 4%, art directors 5%

Median Salary (2018): Fine artists $49,380, multimedia artists and animators $72,520, craft artists $34,240, art directors $92,780

Hopefully this helps you even if it's just a bit, good luck on your art!
