Answer:

h=36

Explanation:

-h + 14 = -22

-h + 14-14 = -22-14 \leftarrow\text {Subtraction Property of Equality}\\\\-h=-36\\\\(-h)/(-1) =(-36)/(-1) \leftarrow \text {Division Property of Equality}\\\boxed {h=36}

Extra Note: Why not '-h=36'?

The reason why I did the division part is because you have to 'undo' the equation until you get a positive variable. '-h' is the same thing as '-1 * h', so I had to divide it by '-1' to get the final answer.
