As an online service provider, to whom to do you owe the greater duty? To your customer who wish to knowingly (i.e. without confusion) buy cheaper, imitation products? Or to unrelated businesses whose valuable intellectual property is being flagrantly violated on your site? Would you take precautions beyond what the law requires to reduce infringing sales?

Answer:

In simple words, as an online service provider my greater duty lies with my customers but i have to maintain the decency of relationship with my suppliers as they are the stakeholders in my business.

An online service provider must maintain a clear visible gap for the customers between original and fake goods which have cheaper qualitative and use brand names of other popular companies. I as a service provider would try to not sell these products on my site overall.
