Answer:

Human trafficking is an illegal activity which includes, among others, trafficking of children, trafficking of women (usually for the purpose of prostitution or adult-content videos), or trafficking of human body organs, that is, parts of living or dead people. These practices are illegal in the vast majority of countries around the world and are usually also considered a serious crime. This criminal activity is often linked to other forms and types of crime, such as smuggling or the illegal trade in drugs, weapons, etc.

Its occurrence is supported by imbalances in international economic relations, poverty, tolerance of human rights violations and political instability in countries of origin. It is often a form of transnational crime. The move often goes from developing countries to industrialized countries or from rural to urban places. It is estimated that there are between 0.6 and 4 million people who are trafficked every year in the world. Trafficking victims often end up in parallel societies that are hidden from the public's view, which makes interference with the victims' situation difficult, and which leads to slave-like conditions where victims are deprived of all legal protection.
