There were 300 more blouses than skirts in a shop. After 2/5

of the blouses and 5/9
of the skirts were sold, there were a total of 1402 blouses and skirts left. How many blouses were sold?

Number of skirts = x

Number of blouses = x + 300

2/5 × (x + 300) = 1402 blouses

x + 300 = 3505

x = 3505-300

x = 3205 ( Number of skirts)

x+300= 3205+300=3505 (Number of blouses)

HOPE IT HELPS YA
