In the Gettysburg Address, President Abraham Lincoln reminded Americans that the Civil War was a test of the strength of a nation built on the ideals of liberty and equality for all. Do you think these ideas are still important to Americans today? Why or why not?

Explanation: I think that these ideas are still important to Americans today. I think these ideas are important because, without liberty and equality for all, America wouldn't be the way it is today. It would be like pre-civil war maybe even worse. An example of this is all the protests against police brutality. Americans are still fighting for equality and liberty which means they are still important today.
