Answer: a) 24, 47.88017308

b) 23.88017308.

Explanation:

STEP ONE:

We know the formula for calculating the diameter is to multiply the radius by 2. But since we don’t have the radius figured, let’s do so:

Divide your circumference by Pi, or aka 3.14

So 75.36 divide by 3.14 = 24

So the diameter for Week 1 is 24.

STEP TWO:

Basically you follow the same steps shown above for Week 2.

So, 150.42 divide by 3.14 = 47.88017308

Oof, that’s not a very nice number, isn’t it?

Kay. Now we have to figure out how many times greater Week 2’s diameter is than Week 1.

I did: 47.88017308 - 24 = 23.88017308.

So, Week 1’s diameter is roughly 2 times greater.

Hope this helped :)

Answer:

see below

Explanation:

Week 1

Circumference

C = 3.14 * d

75.36 = 3.14 d

75.36/3.14 = d

24 = d

Week 2

Circumference

C = 3.14 * d

150.42 = 3.14 d

150.42/3.14 = d

47.9044586 = d

Take d of week 2 and divide by d of week 1

47.9044586/24 =1.996019108
