The rest of the question would be "How many pieces will she get?"

Explanation:

A would be a subtraction problem UNLESS it goes on to ask "how many 1/3 yard pieces can she cut?"

It's a subtraction problem if it's about "how many yards are left?"

B is just backwards and makes no sense with the expression given.
