Follow ALL instructions for this assignment. In 3-5 sentences answer the question: What does the word similar mean and how does it compare/contrast to the word congruent? Do this in your own words and give at least one example of things you would describe as similar. Things to think about: If you said something was similar, what would make you say that. Why would you choose the word similar vs. the word congruent (or at least the idea of congruent- if that's not an every day word for you;))

Answer:

the word similar means when to things are alike, it compares to congruent because congruent means thing are in harmony.

Things I would say are similar is a blanket and a sheet because they both provide coverage and warmth.

If I said things are similar it is because they are alike in meanings, or appearence.

I would use similar over congruent because congruent isn't a word you hear often. When you do hear it is mostly used to talk about angles and lines.
