two unidentified flying discs are detected by a receiver, the angle of elevation from the receiver to each disc is 38.48 degrees. The discs are hovering at a direct distance of 826metres and 1.296km from the receiver. Find the difference in height between the two flying discs.

Explanation:

Both disk are at an angle of 38.48°

From the image below we calculate as,

For disk B, direct distance is 1.296 km from receiver = 1296 m

Vertical height from ground will be = 1296 x sin38.48 = 806.42 m

For disk A, direct distance is 826 m from receiver

Verival height above ground = 826 x sin38.48 = 513.97 m

Difference in height between disks is 806.42 - 513.97 = 292.45 m
