Answer:

45 and 29

Explanation:

Let the smaller be X

The larger is 2x-13

But. (2x-13) + x =74

2x + x = 74 + 13

3x = 87

x = 87 / 3 =29

The larger number is 74-29 = 45

Answer:

smaller integer= 29

larger integer= 45

Explanation:

Let the smaller integer be x.

Larger integer= 74 -x

Since the larger integer is 13 less than twice of the smaller integer,

74 -x= 2x -13

74 +13= 2x +x (bring x terms to 1 side)

3x= 87 (simplify)

x= 87 ÷3

x= 29

Smaller integer= 29

Larger integer

= 74 -29

= 45
