Please help!
In the figure, b and c are parallel lines. Which of the following statements are true?
1.Joe claims the measure of angle 3 is equal to 90 degrees. Is he correct, why or why not?

1) Not True, because angles on a straight line=180 degrees. So 72+90=162 not 180, 180-72=108, angle 3 is 108 degrees.
2) Angle 5=72 degrees because angle 5 is alternate to angle 72 degrees.
