The sum of the areas of two circles is 80 square meters.find the length of a radius of each circle is one of them is twice as long as the other

4 For Small

Explanation:

80 Square Inches in terms of pie, since one of the radius points are 2 times the other we can setup a equation

(Leaving out pi for simplicity)

R^2 + 2R^2= 80

Now since R is doubled in spot we can plug in points until we get the answer

1:2 (Too small)

2:4 (Too Small)

3:6 (Too small)

4:8 (Fits)


If we plug 4 for R it satisfies the equation for our criteria.
