just remember PEMDAS for problems like this. start with p so (8+4×5) which is 28. next move to multipication 28×10= 280 and 5×4×25×2=1000 now you have an equation of 280+5+1000. now add it all together, 280 and 5 is 285 then plus 1000 is 1285.
