P= 1, q= 4

Explanation:

3p + q = 7 -------------(1)

q=7-3p ------------------(1a)

2p- 2q= -6 -------------(2)

Substitute (1a) in (2)

We have :

2p - 2( 7- 3p) = -6

2p -14 + 6p = -6

8p= 14-6= 8

P= 8/8 =1

From, q=7 -3(1)

q= 7-3

q= 4
